A legal framework

The employment of temping personnel is strictly regulated by Luxembourg's Code du travail [labour laws] (Heading III).

Its aims are:

  • to limit the circumstances in which companies can resort to temping,
  • to ensure that all temporary workers are treated on a par with permanents workers,
  • to ensure a better regulation of temporary employment,
  • to penalise excessive use of temporary personnel.
